Join us for a free workshop hosted by Dubspot Instructor and accomplished DJ Brian Koolis on digital DJ techniques and live remixing with Native Instruments’ flagship DJ controller, the Traktor Kontrol S8. Brian will demonstrate techniques for all levels of DJs, showing off the possibilities of live mixing and DJing with Traktor.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Space is limited, please arrive early to sign in.
About Brian Koolis
DJ Instructor
Dubspot Instructor and Native Instruments Traktor Product Specialist, Brian Koolis, a.k.a. Kooli, is a classically trained musician who started playing piano at the age of 6. Born and educated in Connecticut, Brian attended private schools where his musical accomplishments and hard work led to his receiving scholarship awards from five competitive college music programs. He studied at Dickinson College to pursue a traditional music degree in performance and composition. He soon discovered that his real passion was electronic music production and DJing. Brian attended Dubspot Electronic Music Production and DJ School, where he was able to hone his DJ and music production skills. Brian is now a Traktor product specialist and an instructor at Dubspot.

Digital DJing w/ Traktor Pro
The definition of DJing has changed dramatically in the last decade. Laptops, controllers, and software have emerged alongside more traditional turntables and CDJs, smashing the barrier to entry. In today’s digital age, anyone can become a DJ. To reflect this renaissance, Dubspot has created the Digital DJing with Traktor program. In both our physical and online schools, students will learn how to DJ entirely with Traktor’s cutting-edge technology. An emphasis will be placed on the concepts of DJing rather than simply learning how to use the software.
